The new owners of Toughkenamon’s landmark Brown Derby restaurant hope their vision for the Italian and lobster destination — renamed Fire Hill Pub — can rekindle the fond memories of its decades-long legacy while at the same time modernizing it into a family-focused atmosphere with evening entertainment that can rally the community together.
A Kennett Square area trio bring financial acumen; artistic design and ambiance; and affordable, locally-grown cuisine to the task.
For one of them, “Fire Hill Pub represents a new beginning and a part of his past that he doesn’t want to lose,” an article in the Daily Local News explained. “He said he and his wife often went to the Brown Derby for family birthday parties, and he promised that its welcoming atmosphere will continue.”
