HMP Communications ‘Today’s Wound Clinic’ Receives APEX Award

Wound clinics around the country are working daily to save lives, and Malvern-based HMP Communications Holdings, LLC is working hard to tell their stories.

HMP, a leader in healthcare communications and education, tells us their journal, Today’s Wound Clinic has received an APEX award in the “One-of-a-Kind Health & Medical Publications” category for the “Facility in Focus” feature series.

“Facility in Focus” is a running feature column that has highlighted multiple wound clinics nationwide, their healthcare staff and their patients in select issues of Today’s Wound Clinic.

“We launched this editorial endeavor in 2013 as a way to share the ‘stories’ behind the wound clinics as well as the healthcare providers and their patients,” said Joe Darrah, editor.

“Our readers need to know how the leaders in this industry — their peers — maintain their centers in order to be successful from a business and clinical standpoint, and we assumed they’d want to get that human interest side to the careers of the wound care providers and the lives of their patients.”

The Today’s Wound Clinic staff will continue visiting wound clinics on a national scale to help all the dedicated wound care providers who are working daily to save people’s lives and tell their stories to promote the great work they’re doing in their clinics.
