Siemens Foundation Awards Merit Scholarships To Eight Malvern Students

The Siemens Foundation recently awarded Siemens Merit Scholarships to eight Chester County students.

The students, all from Malvern, are the children of full-time Siemens employees. The scholarship winners are:

  • Ziya Zhang
  • Valentino Bagnoli
  • Shannon O’Brien
  • Andrew Overhage
  • Nigam Padhiar
  • Morgan Purcell
  • Neil Shankar
  • Daniel Whitman

Each Siemens Merit Scholarship stipend is $4,000 – $1,000 per year. The stipend is distributed each year for up to four years of college undergraduate study, or until baccalaureate degree requirements are completed. Scholarships are based on PSAT/NMSQT scores. The Siemens Foundation provides more than $7 million annually in support of educational initiatives in science, technology, engineering and math.

Employees whose children are in their junior year should apply for the scholarship program at www.siemens-foundation.org. Scholarships are awarded each senior year, in the spring.

Employees at Siemens Medical Solutions USA, Inc. in Malvern provide healthcare IT, laboratory diagnostics, medical imaging, therapy systems and education and training to health care providers and local hospitals.
