Mimi Curry, chief operations officer for Dansko in West Grove, was named a 2014 Executive Management Award winner by SmartCEO Magazine.

The publication recognized Curry and other Philadelphia region business leaders for leading collaboratively and creatively, upholding the highest ethics and supporting their organization’s mission.

At Dansko, Curry oversees day-to-day operations. The magazine recognized Curry for inspiring Dansko employees with her passion and commitment to Dansko’s triple bottom line: people, planet and profit. She is active in establishing performance expectations and goals for her staff, providing them with appropriate targets in order to identify successes and opportunities. Curry invests in staff both personally and professionally with a dedication to outside education and cross-training.

Curry also led Dansko in opening a 200,000-square-foot LEED® Gold certified distribution center near Dansko headquarters in 2012. Dansko says the facility increases efficiency, enhances the quality of work life for staff and minimizes Dansko’s environmental footprint.

Dansko was founded in 1990 by the wife and husband team Cabot and Peter Kjellerup. Dansko has 185 employee-owners at the comfort footwear firm.
