JetPay Card Services of Berwyn, which provides prepaid Visa cards, is introducing a new prepaid Visa MAC card.

The MAC is geared toward employees and employers who are clients of JetPay’s payroll processing business, JetPay Payroll Services. Employees, friends and families of these businesses are being invited to make MAC the card they use for their everyday shopping, budgeting and bill payment.

MAC is a general purpose reloadable prepaid card used like a checkless checking account. JetPay says it should have compelling and broad appeal to consumers with or without a bank account. MAC has two pricing options. MAC One is intended for those without a bank account who need a payment card for everyday purchasing and bill payment.

MAC Choice is suggested for consumers with a bank account who need a great tool for budgeting, to help manage household expenses, for savings, or to fund students. Both cards are reloadable and can accept deposits from employers, tax refunds, government payments and cash through the GreenDot network.

The safe financial option is priced at either $1 a month or free, and there are no swipe fees, making MAC the lowest-priced general purpose prepaid card of its kind available today, according to JetPay.
