“Last year’s series was a great success,” Downingtown Main Street Association Chair Becca Settle said. “We’re excited about the support for our second year and our move to Kerr Park. We’ll have plenty more room and green space.”

The free last-Friday-of-the-month music spectacular starts June 24 with a four-band lineup, a beer garden, food and crafts. Taking the Summer Jam stage will be Patty McCabe, a singer-songwriter from Spring City; Downingtown singer-songwriter Tom Wagner; Neil Tapp, a solo acoustic ragtime and country blues artist; and Common Treads, a Downingtown family band.

The music, beer and food will flow from 6 to 10 p.m. that night, as well as the last Friday night of July and August. The Concert Gazebo at Kerr Park will house the Summer Jam musicians while Station Taproom runs the beer garden; scheduled food vendors include The Happy Pita, St. Anthony’s Restaurant, Mompops, Love Chunk Cookies and Baba’s Brew Kombucha.

Support for the Summer Jam Series is being provided by local sponsors Kimberton Whole Foods; E. Kahn Development Co.; Bruton Financial; Green Mountain Energy; Mattioni Plumbing, Heating & Cooling; Downingtown Collision; and Moose Lodge No. 1153.
