Coatesville Youth Initiative Gets Ringing Endorsements from Key Foundations
Good news abounds for the Coatesville Youth Initiative, as three prominent Philadelphia foundations announced this it is now a major funding priority for them.
The independent non-profit organization committed to training youth leaders and building community collaboration has received support from the Grace S. and W. Linton Nelson Foundation in Radnor with a three-year capacity building partnership for potentially over $250,000 in funding, while the Claneil Foundation in Plymouth Meeting has allocated $70,000 for 2015.
The most recent donation is from the Philadelphia Foundation, which approved $30,000 to support marketing initiatives as part of support from the Milton Apfelbaum Fund, the Marjorie and H. Donald Doak Fund and the Malinda R. Farrow Fund.
“Our supporters are sending a ringing endorsement for the unlimited potential of Coatesville youth”, said Chaya Scott, CYI Executive Director. “These outstanding kids are our future – the ones who will continue to make Coatesville a great city when we are gone.
